Middle School Summer Camps

Explore several career fields through activities and projects while making new friends

Camps for 6th to 8th grade students are back at Tech. Sign up for career exploration in Culinary Arts, Firefighting/CSI, Carpentry, Fashion Design, Precision Machining, Veterinary Technician, Computer Graphics and Printing, Motorcycle Mechanics, and Medical Exploration. Camps are only $65!

Purpose and Philosophy of South Tech Summer Camp:

To provide middle school aged-students with an opportunity to explore careers in technical fields through interactive and exciting projects and lessons in a friendly and safe environment.  All sessions will be conducted by certified faculty members at South Technical High School.  Space is limited so that an optimum experience can be provided.

Sessions will run from 8 to 10 am and 10 am to 12 pm from June 14 through June 25, 2010*.  Students may participate in both an A and B Session.

Session A - 8:00 am to 10:00 am
Firefighting/CSI    
Carpentry
Precision Machining
Veterinary Technician

Session B - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Computer Graphics and Printing
Fashion Design
Motorcycle Mechanics
Medical Exploration

Transportation to be provided by parents. Students are welcome to bring snacks with them and vending machines are available in the building. Each student will receive a camp t-shirt as part of his or her registration fee. A school nurse will be on duty during all camp sessions.
