2009 Annual SkillsUSA Canned Food Drive

SkillsUSA Food Drive
Erin Whalen helps carry in donated food items to the Feed My People Food Pantry.
From November 16th-November 24th, South Tech SkillsUSA sponsored a canned food drive for Feed My People, a local charity that provides a number of services to those in need including a food pantry. Students and staff brought in cans of food and other non-perishable food items. A friendly competition between shops was held to see who could bring in the most donated items. Mrs. Smegner's Health Science AM class collected the most cans out of all our morning tech students and Mr. Holt's Welding PM class brought in the most donated items out of all our afternoon tech students. Approximately 1,250 cans and other non-perishable goods were delivered to the Feed My People location in South St. Louis County on Tuesday, December 1st.
